2026 Mercedes-Benz GLA in Youngstown, OH
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLA seamlessly blends the agility of a compact footprint with the elevated luxury and presence of a true premium SUV. Positioned as an athletic entry into the brand’s utility lineup, the latest model year introduces fresh styling configurations and optimized performance to elevate the daily commute.
Performance and Efficiency
Under the hood, the GLA 250 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This setup generates 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, routed through a responsive 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The mild-hybrid technology introduces an electric boost that smooths out the stop-start function and maximizes efficiency during city driving. Drivers can choose between standard front-wheel drive or the advanced 4MATIC® permanent all-wheel-drive system, which features fully variable torque distribution and includes an Off-Road Engineering Package for enhanced traction on rugged terrain.
Exterior and Interior Craftsmanship
The exterior design strikes an aggressive yet aerodynamic balance, boasting a drag coefficient of just 0.30. It features a striking shark-nose front fascia, standard LED headlights and taillights, and standard 18-inch twin five-spoke wheels. For the 2026 model year, styling choices expand with a new, no-cost AMG Line Lite package that introduces 19-inch alloy wheels and a sleek body-color rear spoiler, alongside a bold new Midnight Edition.
Inside, the cabin prioritizes high-style utility. The cockpit is anchored by premium, eco-friendly MB-Tex upholstery—offered in a new Sage Grey and Black combination—and a Nappa leather steering wheel. The layout maximizes versatility for passenger travel and cargo storage, featuring a standard power liftgate and 40/20/40-split folding rear seats that expand total cargo capacity up to 50.5 cubic feet.
Advanced Technology
The centerpiece of the dashboard is a digital-first cockpit utilizing dual 10.25-inch high-resolution displays housed under a single glass panel. This panoramic interface runs the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, allowing for seamless control via touch, steering wheel pads, or natural voice commands. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, while standalone upgrades introduce inductive wireless charging, a color Head-Up Display, and augmented video for navigation.
Intelligent Safety Systems
Engineered with comprehensive driver support in mind, the GLA comes equipped with an array of active safety technologies. Standard protective features include:
Active Brake Assist: Helps mitigate or prevent forward collisions with adaptive braking intervention.
Blind Spot Assist: Monitors adjacent lanes and alerts drivers to hidden vehicles.
ATTENTION ASSIST: Continuously monitors driving behavior to detect signs of fatigue.
For heightened highway autonomy, an available Driver Assistance Package integrates Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC adaptive cruise control, Active Steering Assist to keep the vehicle centered, and PRE-SAFE PLUS to prepare the cabin environment if a rear-end collision is detected.
